About Dan Krause

Dan has worked in the retail grocery food industry for major U.S. food companies including McCormick, Zatarain’s and General Mills.   His extensive and varied background in traditional grocery and specialty food sector make him a wealth of information and knowledge to his client base.

Background
Dan began his career as a Financial Analyst at General Mills.  He moved to the Sales area calling on major grocery chains in Central Florida representing Cheerios, Yoplait, Nature Valley, and Betty Crocker.  He called on Specialty Food Distributors and partner retailers on behalf of Zatarain’s of New Orleans.  As Director of Specialty Sales, Dan helped integrate Zatarain’s products with McCormick branded products of Old Bay and Golden Dipt.  As Director of Sales Operations, Dan led a team of cross functional Managers that supported field sales in technology, key performance indicators, merchandising and trade promotion systems.

  • Trade Promotion and TPM systems –extensive development and creation of trade promotion expense tracking systems for Zatarain’s and McCormick

  • Three Brand Strategy- development of selling strategy to handle like products with different brands
  • Integration of acquisitions: executed full integration of brands, products, customers, and business practices for McCormick corporate acquisitions including Zatarain’s, Simply Asia Foods, Lawry’s, and Billy Bee Honey.
